Tubber second game in this seasons junior b hurling league division five b round two fixture ended in defeat to Bodyke on a scoreline of 1:13 to 1:11 in wind swept conditions on this easter bank holiday monday in Tubber. Tubber were wearing the Gort jersey's and Bodyke line out in their amalgamation kit of Bodyke-O'Callaghan's Mills due to a clash of colours.

After a ragged first half when it seemed nothing would go over the bar after racking up eight first half wides, things did settle down and as the game progressed but were unlucky in the final minutes not to snatch victory due to a bullet of a shot from midfielder Francis McCormack which was saved by Bodyke goalie who advanced correctly and at the propper time to deflect the ball to safety. Francis McCormack was also responsible for hitting the net midway through the second half

Declan Ryan was acccurate from frees all through the game scoring five points from the placed ball, Lorcan Doolin covered alot of ground on his switch to midfield for the second half and also Noah McNamara Deeney tried hard on his introduction for the the second half at corner forward, to complete the trio of Ballyvaughan-Fanore's Martin Howard also played well in the half forward line.
