Miltown juniors continued their recent good form with a three point victory tonight over Ballyvaughan in Miltown.

Miltown started well with a clever finish to the net from Enda Fox. They continued to play well and cunning play from Fox resulted in his second goal. Further well taken points from Gearoid Burke, Michael Barry and Gary Egan kept Miltown in the lead. The Ballyvaughan team struck back with points of their own however further points from Enda Fox, Ger Malone and Sean Meade meant Miltown led at the break on a scoreline of 2-9 to 0-5.

In that 30 minutes Jonah Culligan hit the post in between two fine scores kicked by Adrian Nilan, and Jonah Culligan again followed up on those to kick two from play. While a rocket of a shot from Nilan then struck the cross bar, only to see the ball cleared out the field. Adrian Nilan finished the first half with a free.

Ballyvaughan fought hard in the second half and struck with two well worked goals to narrow the gap, one from a penalty scored by Jonah Culligan and the other from sub Cathal Irwin. Further points from Ger Malone and Michael Barry ensured Miltown prevailed on a score line of 2-11 to 2-8.
