By Michael O Connor.
History was made in Cusack park when St Breckans from North Clare football country won the Div 4 title after a titantic struggle with Crusheen/Tubber.
A tightly fought game that saw just a point between in the only all Clare final at the break (0-3) to (0-2) as Colin Halpin and Ronan Monahan (2) were on
target for Crusheen/Tubber as Liam Tierney and Ian Queally responded for Breckans. The excitement increased in the second half as St Breckans came from (0-5)
to (0-3) in arrears to go (0-6) (0-5) ahead after 28 minutes. Ian Queally was the star forward for Breckans as Ronan Fahy scored their goal only for
Donal McMahon to score a wonderful Crusheen/Tubber goal a minute later to leave the minimum between the sides entering the final minutes. Both sides
had chances near the end but it was St Breckans day.
